How it works

Enquiry

1. Send in an enquiry using the form on my Contact page.

2. I’ll get in touch with you and we can discuss what special moment you would like to capture on your wedding day. Once we have discussed the details, I’ll send through a contract for you to sign and also request a 20% deposit.

Wedding day

1. I will arrive early to your chosen venue and begin preparing and setting up my easel and painting so I’m ready to capture your moment.

2. If we have decided on any pre-ceremony moments then we can take a few photos that I can use as a reference.

3. Throughout the night, I’ll be working away on your painting starting with the background and then sketching in the couple.

4. At the end of the night, I’ll show you the painting before I take it home for some touch-ups

After your wedding

1. I will add final details to your painting to make it really pop and this will take usually around 3-7 weeks depending on the size of the painting.  I will then varnish it and this will enhance the colours and also protect the painting from UV rays, dust and yellowing.

2. Your painting will be ready for pick up from my studio or alternatively, you can also organise for it to be shipped to you.

Wedding Venue
  • What will we (the couple) need to provide?
I will bring my art supplies, table lights and signage. I require you to provide a rectangular table decorated as you wish. Please no circular tables. If your cocktail hour is located in a separate location, I require a table to be set up in both locations, and my assistant and I will move my art supplies into the reception space when your guests begin to transition.
  • How do I book you for my weddings?
You will begin by filling out my inquiry form. If your wedding date is available on my design calendar, I will respond with a custom quote for booking. Once you are ready to proceed you will see there is a contract to sign and invoice to pay. I require a 25% non-refundable retainer that will be due after the contract is signed. The rest would be due a month prior to your event.
  • Will you travel?
I am located in Melbourne and can drive upto 60km from South-East Melbourne. Anything further than that will incur additional charge.
  • What type of medium do you use?
    I use watercolour!
  • How many hours should I book you for?
I require a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 6 hours. Typically I will be drawing during the cocktail hour until the end of the reception.
  • Do the guests need to stay at your table while you draw them?
No, they do not. They are, however, welcome to hang around as I draw their portrait live! Once a guest approaches my table,I will proceed to take their photo so your guests can get back out on the dance floor. If the guest prefers to watch as I draw their portrait, that's totally fine! I love meeting and chatting with your friends and family!. We ask the guests to pick up their drawing no later than the end of the night. I will only draw from photos that I or my assistant take during the event.
